November 1, 2010 - Journey to Kuching, Sarawak

By: Arturo Valdez

6:30 AM - Departed Tambelan Island to continue journey to Kuching, Sarawak but moving towards Pemangkat, Indonesia to get closer to mainland Borneo 80NM away. This is our last remaining wide open crossing in open South China waters.

‎7:17 AM - Slowly moving out of the cove. Heavy rains and dark clouds as Voltaire advised. Hope this will only last this morning. We're pitching and rolling again but moving.

7:27 AM - Heavy rains and huge swells as Voltaire predicted. "We're rolling and pitching again" is becoming an often-used statement in our updates. Signal getting weak and may
disappear before. We're moving on - with prayers on our minds and hopes in our hearts.

7:37 AM -  Our prayers may be answered already. Winds and waves are moving favorably which is a big help. We have to exploit the 2 days of southerly winds to our favor in spite of
inclement weather before the onslaught of 'amihan' again.

Signal may disappear before mid-morning.
